Twilight falls on Millerton Lake
Time of day: Sunset
August 31, 2009
Here’s a scene with a big sky: Millerton Lake as seen from Sky Harbor Road.
Whenever possible, I endeavor to capture this scene under compelling skies. In my estimation, skies similar to these appear about twice each year in these parts. You can be sure that I will miss at least one of those occasions, and in some years, both.
This place is only twenty miles from home. Yes, these are my local stumping grounds and I have more images from this locale than I care to admit. Worry not, only my fairly good images from here make it to these pages, so you’re not missing much.
Actually, this is a State Park and I have paid the $7 fee for naught, in an effort to catch shoreline shots, more than a few times. Fortunately, Sky harbor Road is a public roadway.
A 3 stop reverse grad was used in this scene.
