Fern Spring - Yosemite
Time of day: 4 hrs before sunset

Many people stop at Fern Spring, a small natural spring near the Pohono Bridge, to capture a supply of drinking water before heading home. I usually stop to capture a photograph.
The cold waters percolate up from the ground and flow underneath the roadway into the Merced River.
In springtime and early summer the water flows rapidly. In autumn, although the flow slows, the colorful fallen leaves add another dimension to the scene.
A great many photographers have tried their hand at capturing Fern Spring uniquely, myself included. This is my best result so far, although I will certainly endeavor to improve upon it.
